I have a Friday night “date night” ritual with my boyfriend and normally it involves me choosing a restaurant from my list and going there for dinner. This time, it was my boyfriend who wanted to choose a place and so I welcomed that thought with open arms and an empty stomach! He did some digging through LaFourchette (yes, this place is on it = they take reservations!) and chose a restaurant that was small, intimate but in an area that I love (which is currently the 2ème) and Bonpot is what he found! It’s very small so reservations are a must! But it’s a really cute place with great Korean food that you can enjoy in a comfortable setting.

In the 2ème arrondissement, down an alleyway, there’s a tiny place called Mr. Zhao, a restaurant that specializes in BiangBiang noodles (thick) from Xi’an. It’s interior is very much Swedish design with touches of China. The food was yummy and bursting with spicy flavours. This contrast of simplicity and boldness will lure you in!
9 Rue Mandar, 75002 Paris
In a city that’s filled with shawarma and pita around almost every corner, how do you find one that stands out from the late-night/touristy rest? Well look no further than the Montorgueil area for this gem of souvlaki maison (homemade)! All the right flavours in all the right places!

I have been wanting to try poké for a very long time now! It looked like such a fun salad that wasn’t just boring lettuce and tomato but cool avocado, salmon, edamome and more. Pokawa treated me right on this super hot summer day, and now I wonder how did I go all summer without this meal?

When there’s a line up to get in BEFORE the restaurant is even open, you know people are coming here for a delicious reason! Another success for the Big Mamma group of restaurants, Pizza Popolare is the place to go for great pizza!
