4 mariages 1 lune de miel vs. Four Weddings

4 mariages 1 lune de miel vs. Four Weddings

So if you’re crazy like me and enjoy watching wedding shows (even though marriage is the furthest thing from your mind right now like me… or maybe you’re actually in the middle of planning your wedding!) and are looking for ways to improve your French too, then have a look at my side-by-side comparison of these two wedding shows.

Braun Notes Coffee

Braun Notes Coffee

31-33 Rue de Mogador, 75009 Paris

Tucked away in the hustle and bustle of the Trinité church area, lies a small but rustic feeling café waiting for you to visit!

Candelaria

Candelaria

52 rue de Saintonge 75003 Paris

I have walked by this bar/taco joint many many times… and I heard it was a secret bar/restaurant as well, but all I saw was this small tiny kitchen. HOWEVER, one day, I finally walked by and saw at the end of the room, a door that was half open and inside I discovered this wonderful Mexican place that is full of life and flavour!

Boot Café

Boot Café

26 Rue des Grands Augustins, 75006 Paris

This area alone is one my favourites to just wander around and take in the typical Parisian alleyways. But if you find yourself down this street, a stop at this super relaxed café is a must! (they have to-go options too!)

Lavomatic

Lavomatic

30 rue René Boulanger 75010 Paris

Where can you go to get some unique drinks in an intimate setting?
Well, a laverie (laundromat) of course!

Shiso Burger

Shiso Burger

21 Quai Saint Michel 75005 Paris

If you’re looking for Asian fusion burgers in a prime location like Notre Dame, make sure to stop by Shiso Burger!

Bar à Bulles

Bar à Bulles

4 Bis Cité Véron, 75018 Paris

Keep your eyes wide open if you wanna find this spot, tucked in between Moulin Rouge and a tiny alleyway and some stairs. But once you arrive, enjoy the fun ambiance this place offers, a place of conviviality and brunch!

Pizza Popolare

Pizza Popolare

111 Rue Réaumur, 75002 Paris

When there’s a line up to get in BEFORE the restaurant is even open, you know people are coming here for a delicious reason! Another success for the Big Mamma group of restaurants, Pizza Popolare is the place to go for great pizza!

Oxford, England (and a bit of London)

Oxford, England (and a bit of London)

I went to visit my cousin in Oxford but I went via London so I also spent a day in London. My cousin has been working there for a year and had plenty of tips and places to show me, not just in Oxford but also in the surrounding English countryside (which if you have a car at your disposal, you should definitely make sure to drive around!)

I spent the first day in London followed by 4 days, 3 nights in Oxford. We went on a day trip to Woodstock, just 10 miles from Oxford, and went on a 2 hour nature hike through one of the national footpaths.

Simone Lemon

Simone Lemon

30 rue Le Peletier, 75009 Paris

Normally, I don’t spend 27€ on a brunch (my budget still feels like a student budget)… HOWEVER, if it’s once in a while and the food is great AND it’s à volonté (all-you-can-eat), then how can you resist?
